Dennis John Peterson, 68, died September 18, 2016 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mr. Peterson was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1983 coming from Homer City, Pennsylvania.
He worked with his father & brothers at Peterson & Sons Tire of Homer City, PA, worked for AECOM for 20 years as an inspector, Past Master of the Benjamin Franklin Lodge # 753 of the F & AM, and an Army Reserve Veteran. He also worked part time for the Driftwood Resort in Vero Beach, FL. He loved to fish and watch sprint car racing & NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Rita Peterson of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, Dennis Peterson II of Port St. Lucie, FL and Douglas (Desiree) Peterson of McAlpin, FL; 1 brother; mother-in-law; grandchildren, Ashlee Osborn of Linden, MI and Jeremy Peterson of McAlpin, FL; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (St. Lucie), 3375 20th Street, Ste 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
