Charles Edward Ross was born February 6, 1957 in Fort Pierce, Florida to the late Roosevelt Ross and Lizzetta Williams Ross. He was the eldest of five children (two sisters and two brothers) born to this union.
Charles grew up in Fort Pierce, Florida and was educated in the public school system of St. Lucie County. He was a member of the 1976 graduating class of Fort Pierce Central High School. He was employed at Haisley Funeral Home and Crematorium as a landscaper for 27 years.
He married Geraldine Cash and to this union they were blessed with two daughters, Marsha and Chantel.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted companion: Brenda Patterson of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Marsha Ross and Chenel Ross of Tampa, FL; brothers, Freddie (Sharon) Ross of Port St. Lucie, FL, Eddie (Eula) Ross of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Patricia Ross-Chance, Fort Pierce, FL, Brenda (Lester) Freeman of Fort Pierce, FL; six grandchildren: Charletta D. Kelly-Ross, Kiara M. Etienne, Jeremiah I. Ross, DeShawn E. Ross, Maya G. Ross, and Adriana L. Collier; two children he raised as his own, Nate Patterson and Lotonia D. Richardson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 4-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Voice of Truth Tabernacle Church, 1800 Avenue G, Fort Pierce.
