Bruce Laurence Bechtel

Bruce Laurence Bechtel, 63, passed away September 8, 2014, at his home in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was born January 24, 1951, in Washington, D.C., and was a resident of South Florida since 1984. Loving husband and devoted father, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marian M. Bechtel, his son Larry J. Bechtel of Boynton Beach, FL, and his daughter Shayna M. Bechtel of Jensen Beach, FL. Bruce was one of four children to Laurence J. and Ellen V. Bechtel and is survived by his older brother Eric J. Bechtel, his twin brother Brian F. Bechtel and his sister Lisa B. Caryiotakis.

Bruce lived in the Washington D.C. Metro area and worked in the banking business before moving to South Florida where he owned and successfully operated a mortgage company until his retirement in 2006. Besides being a hard worker, Bruce was a proud grandfather and loved spending time with his three grandsons, Bruce W. Bechtel, 18, Brandon L. Bechtel, 16 and Brian J. Bechtel, 4.
